The IEEE Sensors Council is delighted to support the 2022 African and Latin American Travel Award. The goal of this Award is to foster participation from underrepresented nations at IEEE SENSORS 2022.
Eligibility: The competition is open to all early-career/ young professionals (those within 10 years of final degree) and graduate students in the technical areas and professions related to sensors who are resident in Africa and Latin America. The applicant must be listed as the primary author on the abstract. A maximum of two authors (one per paper) from any one institution will receive a travel grant.
Attendance at the IEEE SENSORS 2022 is required to receive this Travel Award. A signed W-9/W-8 US tax form will be required for the attendee in order to receive the electronic transfer of the grant. The awardee will be asked for the bank name and routing number, and the account number under the attendee’s name for the electronic transfer.
Fund Value: The amount of financial assistance provided to each applicant will be based on the specifics of the travel involved and cannot exceed a maximum of $1000 USD. Registration fees will also be covered.
