The IEEE Sensors Council Community Engagement and Impact Award recognizes an IEEE member who made outstanding contributions to broaden participation in the IEEE field of sensors – in quantity and quality of activity and impact – as evidenced for instance by leadership in events, technical projects, educational activities and mentorship programs. Cumulative achievements will be considered, but the greatest weight will be given to impact of contributions during the past five years. The winner of this award is presented with a plaque, a $1,000 check (US), and up to $1,000 (US) travel reimbursement to attend the conference to receive the award in person. Conference registration will also be waived.
