Sensors for Sustainability

Sensors for Sustainability

One of the many ways, through which Sensors Council (SC) is contributing towards sustainability is by publishing original research articles and review papers that highlight the advances in the sensor technology and raise awareness about applications of sensors in areas that address the United Nations sustainable development goals and the climate change. These includes papers on topics such as green energy, clean water, plastic-free environment, circular economy, and human development index etc. This webpage shows the papers published during last 5 years (2019-2023) in IEEE Sensors Journal in the areas related the sustainable development goals. These papers are divided among 6 broad categories:
[Health, Smart Cities, Clean Environment, Resource-friendly Growth, Gender Diversity, Geographic Activities].

The list of papers also provides the cumulative downloads (how many times they were accessed) of the papers and citations (citations in another paper and citations in patents) as on 1 Oct, 2023. These papers present the challenges ahead and the steps we must take, both individually and collectively, to ensure people, prosperity and planet for sustainable future. In short, the publications showing the advances in ‘Technology for Humanity’.
