The IEEE Sensors Council Outstanding Service Award for Promoting Gender Diversity is awarded to an IEEE member who made outstanding contributions to gender diversity in the IEEE field of sensors – in quantity and quality of activity and impact – as evidenced for instance by leadership in events, technical projects, educational activities and mentorship programs. Cumulative achievements will be considered, but the greatest weight will be given to impact of contributions during the past five years.
Involvement with the Council activities is preferred but not compulsory.
The winner of this Sensors Council Award is presented with a plaque and $1,000 check and up to $1,000 travel reimbursement to attend the conference to receive the award in person. Conference registration will also be waived. Travel reimbursement will follow the IEEE policies and procedures.
