The IEEE Sensors Council Young Professionals is the group of members and volunteers who have graduated from their first professional degree within the past 15 years.
It is an international community, whose members are interested in elevating their professional image, expanding their global network, connecting with peers locally and giving back to their community. Since it encompasses all members from recent university graduates to experienced professionals and entrepreneurs, the group is highly diverse in what it has to offer.

Young Professionals Award Recipients
The YP Award is given annually to promote, recognize and support contributions from young professional members within the fields of interest of the IEEE Sensors Council.
"For contributions to optical fiber sensors for radiation monitoring, particularly in patient monitoring during radiotherapy, and leadership in European efforts to develop reliable and standardized optical fiber sensors for safety and security applications."
"For development of novel image sensors and novel measurement techniques for coupled micro/nano mass sensors, and for improving the sensory instrumentation for magnetic resonance imaging to study the human visual sensor, thereby exemplifying the multi-faceted nature of image sensors and their applications."
"Substantial contributions to the advancement of wireless sensor technology and a demonstrated ability to lead international projects to successful completion – providing the IEEE GOLD community with an example of a passionate attitude towards one’s profession."
